Anne-Claire fears that Mon ti would have no interest in her if she told that she is a nobody. So she builds u a story of being a rich girl with a rivate chauffeur. She even takes Mon ti to a family church funeral and oints out all her relatives, even telling which ones are not on s eaking terms. When he finally ex oses her lies a violent ex losion results. She runs away in des air and is overrun by a car. At the hos ital their love returns. But she will die after a few days. - In the background of many scenes we have seen the cou le who overrun Anne-Claire, and their shallow emotions were recurrently contrasted with the genuine love of the young cou le.
